SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2018

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2018 will be clearly mentioned in the SSC MTS Recruitment Notification. SSC MTS 2018 -19 will mention the detailed SSC Multi Tasking Staff Exam Pattern 2018. The Staff Selection Commission mentions all the important aspects and important details of Syllabus. The examination will be conducted in two papers. The first exam will be a Computer Based Test conducted online. The second examination will be a Descriptive type of exam. The important points about the SSC MTS Exam Pattern are:

Paper 1

  • Examination conducted in online mode.

  • CBT examination.

  • Objective type paper

  • Multiple choice questions.

  • Total Number of Questions – 150 questions.

  • Total marks for the exam is 150 marks.

  • Examination conducted in 2 shifts.

  • Total time for the examination – 2 hours.

  • Four subjects are included: General Intelligence and reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, General Awareness.

  • There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. If the candidate gives an incorrect answer to a question 0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

Paper 2

  • Examination conducted in written mode.

  • Descriptive Examination.

  • Short Essay/Letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.

  • Total marks for the exam is 50 marks.

  • There will be only one long answering question.

  • Time allotted for the examination is 30 minutes.

SSC MTS Syllabus 2018

Staff Selection Commission will announce the official notification for the candidates who aspire to appear for the recruitment examination of Multi Tasking Staff. It is necessary to go through the SSC MTS Exam Syllabus 2019 for preparing the SSC MTS 2018 -19 examination. The Staff Selection Commission has previously announced the syllabus. A similar format of the syllabus is expected this year too.

General Intelligence:

  • It would include questions of non-verbal type.

  • The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.

  • The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation, and other analytical functions.

English Language:

  • Candidates’ understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and its correct usage, etc. his/her writing ability would be tested.

Numerical Aptitude:

  • This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers,

  • Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

General Awareness:

  • Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society.

  • Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person.

  • The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc.

  • These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Paper 2 Syllabus:

  • The Paper will be set in English and Hindi and to the extent possible in other languages mentioned in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution to test basic language skills commensurate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post.

  • Candidates will be required to write one short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.

SSC MTS Admit Card

SSC MTS Admit Card 2019 will release on the official website of Staff Selection Commission. The candidates may simply visit the official website of Staff Selection Commission to download SSC MTS Hall Ticket. SSC MTS Admit Card Tier 1 is for the candidates who are appearing in the examination of Paper 1 Test. Paper 1 examination is a Computer Based Test which will be conducted online for the candidates. SSC MTS Admit Card is an important document for the candidates appearing in the examination. In absence of the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to take the exam or enter the exam hall.
